The structural system is not only clearly expressed but also fundamental to this project. The building faces demanding challenges: vast interior spaces free of intermediate columns and a rooftop pool with considerable structural loads. Two robust transversal walls anchor the volume and define the central atrium and main circulation. Along the façade, independent rectangular columns support the concrete slabs, projecting beyond their edges to emphasize their elementary role.
The uppermost slab takes on a distinctive curved form to accommodate an infinity pool overlooking the ocean. Its delicate movement contrasts with the geometrical rigidness of the building, balancing the overall perception of it from a stiff base to a light top. This curvature is not only a formal gesture but also a rational structural solution: bending the plane increases stiffness and structural efficiency.
At the heart of the building, in a perfectly central position, a concrete cone pierces all levels. This sculptural element organizes the interior spaces and brings natural light into the entrance atrium, further enhancing the interplay of geometry, structure, and living.
